Denny's Pet World

I visit Denny's twice a week with my daughter to say hello to the bunnies, but we also get all of our dog & guinea pig supplies here. The staff is extremely knowledgeable & friendly, the store is well stocked, & their prices are similar to Amazon (yes, I look every time). I would highly suggest supporting this local small business all day. Thanks Denny's!

Denny's Pet World is great! After living in the area for years I decided to give Denny's a try. I feel like I hit the jackpot. We purchased our first ever cat tree and what a score! Not only does our cat love his new tree but we also got several other supplies; litter, treats, toys, food. Needless to say we are set for the next few months!

I really like how they have free food samples for your four legged furbabies. This was a great opportunity for us to try out new foods for our cats. This place is quite large and they have an extensive amount of inventory for all animal lovers. I really enjoy coming here and spoiling my kitties.

John is a rare breed of human being. He is so genuine and caring about the Animals his store sells, the employees that support his business and the customers his business serves. I will continue to support Denny's pet world as long as I reside in Washington State. Even now, I've moved to Puyallup but I'm planning on stopping in for some base-rock for my Reef tank. Looking forward to spending more of my time and resources at Denny's pet world Picture is of an enormous cat tree we bought a year or two ago from John's store. Raven loves it!

I have a deposit down a Quaker Parrot and I love that they encourage us to come visit. I've been going to see Monty about every other day. Not only do I get to hold and love on my bird but we are already bonding! Jesse is amazing! So much knowledge too. I can't wait to bring my baby bird home!

We love this store! We have noticed so many great improvements over the past year. The fish department is so much more enjoyable than ever with smart engaged staff who can help with nearly any question. The fish are super healthy and they now have a variety of rainbows. Ben was especially helpful and patient with all my questions. We will definitely shop here often.

This is the best place ever! I go here quite frequently for all the pet things I need or for the pet advice. The aquarium is my favorite place I've gotten many pets here and they've all done very well. The people who work here are amazing they get to know their customers and make sure that they have genuine connections with them which is nice and different in a pet shop. This place has great products, Dependable people, great advice, and amazing pets.

Bad experience, There bird care TRASH, Selection of bird toys TRASH. The most basic cat bed was $40! When I enter the store no one greeted me. Throughout the whole experience no one came up to me. All employees were talking to each other. There were no birds other than budgies, Finch's and Canary's. They had no light, no toys, no room to Fly, no fresh food and most of them had plastic perches.

The birdcages that they were in were very small. Some of the budgies were in the cages alone. They did not look happy at all. I really don't recommend going here if you're looking for a bird care or a bird items. I really wish they took better care of their birds, they deserve so much better. On the other hand their for the fish had great care their beta fish area is beautiful! Their discus are also Beautiful! They had a lot of room to swim around and the tanks were clean there were fresh live plants. That's the only reason they get one star.

I purchased my hamster and all of the supplies for his new home today. Every staff I talked to was so helpful and took the time to talk to me even though it was Sunday and the store was pretty busy. Thank you for great customer service and I will definitely be back to buy for supplies for my hamster!

Zack is absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about the tarantulas and any pet they keep in stock. I come here to purchase. He's helped us many times and is as personable today as ever! Thank you Zack for being an amazing employee and for for always providing tip top service! He greets with a smile and didn't stop till you are taking care of properly

Denny's Pet World is a great locally owned pet store. I've been a customer for two or three years now and I would say that I am very satisfied with the services that are being provided. I regularly shop here for freshwater fish and other related items. Jesse and Stella are very knowledgeable and sociable employees. I plan to keep shopping here for all my pet wants and needs.

This was my first time visiting Denny's Pet World and I wasn't disappointed! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, the animals there are well taken care of, and it's a VERY clean store. I wish I would have caught this guys name, he has glasses and is in the fish area, but he was AWESOME! He answered all my questions about getting algae off my tank and what snails to get for a cleaner tank. Great place, will definitely be going back!

Great store. Been in a few dozen times over the past year and every time I go in the place is clean. The animal habitats always look well maintained. The employees always seem to be engaged and working. Sometimes I've needed to wait for help with feeders but it's hardly a complaint these days. Prices are competitive.

Good selection of fish and aquarium supplies but terrible service. There are about 4 people working the fish room and they helped every customer but me. After 20 minutes of waiting to be helped I just left. That's about the time all the staff just started bantering and talking shop. I really wanted to grab some plants and a showstopper fish for my 55g. I'm on my way to Aquarium Co Op now.

Visited this pet store for the first time today and was absolutely heart broken looking at the environment the bunnies were in. Coming from someone who owns a bunny, it was very clear to see how scared, uncomfortable and mistreated they are here. I hope the owner see's this review and does something about it, retail wise the store has mostly everything you'll need for your pet.

The owner John, clearly doesn't stop into his own business too often. Why would I spend my time giving a call in to discuss the terrifying living conditions of his bunnies? i seen enough with my own eyes upon first and last visit.

Huge selection and friendly staff. Decent prices and I like supporting a small business instead of buying everything on Amazon.

I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of freshwater ornamental fish and even fish tanks! And unlike PETCO, they deliver large tanks to your home for a small fee. We received thorough and expert advice on aquarium supplies, plants, substrate and even driftwood. The fish are very well taken care of and you would be reassured buying them here. The only thing is that they do not carry is CO2 systems if you are looking to set up a planted tank. We will definitely be dropping by more often. What a great store!

I've been coming back to Denny's Pet World for years because of the care and passion that they show for their animals. I'm a novice aquarium keeper and I love nerding out with the staff here about the ins and outs of aquarium keeping. Thanks for always providing top notch customer service and a wide array of healthy, well-loved pets!

What a great local pet store! It's huge and has a great selection. My kids loved petting the bunnies and seeing all the different kinds of small pets. Our puppy loved the toy and great selection!

I've gotten 2 guinea pigs from here a while ago. They both full gown and happy now! Today I came by and so funny that I had been look got mantids to keep as pets. I haven't had any in a long while. They had 2 ghost mantids so I got both of them. They made sure I knew how long they live and a d that I had previous knowledge of them. Helped me pic of an enclosure and all around have a great experience every time I go. I'm a licensed vet tech with lots of exotic animal experience so I appreciate taking time to make sure the animals go to a good home but don't talk my ear off about it either!

TLDR: small local pet store with nice variety. Parking: small lot. It can be difficult to exit the parking lot during rush hour traffic, especially if you want to turn left--you might be waiting a while for an opening. Fantastic local pet shop that carries a little bit of everything. The staff are very knowledgeable and the aquarium staff have a plethora of information for you if you want to start up an aquarium!

I love how they carry just about any dog food brand here. I always like giving my pup variety and I could get lost in this place with all the options I have! One thing to mention is that there is always at least one tank with sick fish in the aquarium section. I have visited several times and there is always a new tank with sick fish that are being quarantined until further notice. I'm not sure if it's a chronic problem the store has or if the breeders are giving them ill fish.

I purchased fish a few years back and they ended up dying of mycobacteriosis (diagnosed by my veterinarian), which is scary because people can catch it! Unfortunately, most cases of mycobacteriosis in fish is terminal or is difficult to treat :(

This is a well rounded pet store for all pets. We did go thinking there was saltwater fish but they do not carry saltwater any more. I do own a dog and was very impressed with the choice of they had to offer. Definitely a store to at least check out.

First time visit today! I was originally in to buy F/T rats for my ball python (since there are very limited reptile store options in Seattle proper), but I was happy to see the large selection of rawhide alternatives and reputable dog food / treat brands. My first impression of their bird care is not good. The gouldian finches were in extremely under stimulated cages, and the conure fledglings were also in disappointing conditions.

I can understand not having perfectly clean cages (birds after all are very messy animals) but in terms of toys and puzzles to keep them stimulated and happy it was not adequate. Their selection of bird toys and supplies is amazing, so this was surprising? I hope they end up adding more to their finch cages. I was not able to take a look at their fish room.

As for rats, I purchased 3 of their small F/T rats! They look in good condition, and very well bred. I was told they're from local sources in Everett / Kirkland. Their pricing is a little high, but the quality of the rats makes it understandable.

We've been coming here for many years, even before Denny's occupied the current place where they are now. Staff is always friendly, stock is decent, parking is always interesting, and until last year there was a gigantic bird that used to welcome you to the store (the bird passed on sadly). So why here over the dozen other pet stores in the area all under a few miles away, including some that have broader selection? Well, Denny's has the right fit.

Think of it like the winning combination of things. They've got the goods, they've got the knowledgeable staff, they've got the gear (at least for dog washes). The layout is superb and stuff is easy to find; you don't have to wander half way across the store to get item x, its where you think it will be. There are bunnies to pet if they're out.

We usually buy dog food in bulk and we always go to the Santa photos event that happens here in the winter. The staff welcomes us in and helps us out as needed. They also tolerate the odd case where a dog has an accident in store. This is your local store, think of the local shop in Stardew Valley vs the big chains. You'll always be treated better at the local place in town.

Been going here since I was a child, my family came in most recently to get a frog and the staff was super helpful, took a ton of time helping my child understand all there is to know about caring for this pet, the whole environment is clean, organized and just plain great!

This place is absolutely wonderful. As a person who has had a variety of pets and done the research to provide the best care, this place has all the best supplies and accessories you will need. I'm also very impressed with how well they take care of their animals in store. All the animals appear healthy and well cared for with good diets and adequate filtration. I highly recommend this pet store. It's also just enjoyable to come by and look at the birds.

They finally contacted me with the order and I was able to get it. Price was competitive so I will continue to order from them. I appreciate that they contacted me to make things right.

Note - this review is focused mainly on the fish section of the store. Wow oh wow, does this place have nice rocks and wood decor! Upon stocking up my big aquarium tank, I knew that I wanted to get some decor and buy some fishes. A few people recommended this store to me and overall, this is definitely a place I would recommend when it comes to buying aquarium decor and hard to find fishes. Layout of the store is pretty simple.

Once you get in, head straight to the back of the store for the fish section. If you're looking for wood and/or rock decor, there is a HUGE selection available at reasonable prices. Rocks are priced by the pound and there are many different types of rock. As for the wood, prices are based on the type of wood and size. In addition, if you want to see more wood than what's offered in the aisle, check out the fish tank area for more options or simply ask an employee who could show you what's in storage for the wood pieces. Fishes: For the longest time ever, been searching for a particular type of fish and I was super thrilled that Denny's Pet World had it. Fortunately, I was able to get some of the fishes I want while the others were out of stock.

For freshwater fish, there's a pretty large amount vs the limited amount of the saltwater fishes. In terms of health, most of the tanks were healthy with a few that were closed off for quarantined purposes. In addition, prices were pretty reasonable and worth the splurge for hard to find fishes. Plants: Selection is a bit limited but in general, pretty healthy looking.

I would advise calling in to check on the plants since it seems like this place sells them out pretty quickly! Service: Despite the mixed reviews on Yelp, the employees I talked with were pretty nice and knowledgeable about fishes. Overall, definitely enjoyed visiting this shop and will swing by again for the decor and fishes!
