It all began in 1988 after a fruitless search for high quality and attractive cat furniture that our four finicky cats would use. As our home filled up with rejected, unattractive, impractical, and poorly made scratchers, it dawned on us that if we wanted something made right, we would have to make it ourselves. Thus was born the window perch and the cat scratch triangle. As friends started asking us to make scratching posts for their cats we realized that we weren't alone in our frustration - and so began C & D Pet Products, LLC.

Because of the size and weight of our products, each item has its own Shipping & Handling ("S&H") fee that varies by zone. To ship items to multiple zip codes, please place multiple orders. We are currently only able to take online orders for addresses within the Continental USA. For shipping rates to locations outside of the Continental USA, including Alaska and Hawaii, please contact us for ordering information. If you are not satisfied with your purchase it may be returned in its original packaging within 14 days for a full refund of the product cost.
Does the Cat Enclosure Kit require assembly? The enclosure is completely pre-assembled and then partially disassembled. You will receive the full-size panels completed with the wire attached; the door hinges and door are in place as are all latches and screws. To assemble simply place panels next to each other and tighten screws.
D Alex had this to say after her second Enclosure order: I took the original -13yr old enclosure- down the other day. Still in great shape after all this time- will add it on to the new build as an additional 'condo suite'- they'll love it! The cat tree arrived today in excellent condition with the careful packaging.

I bought two outside enclosures from this company 10+ years ago for my aging cat back then to keep her safe so she could be outside during the day when she wanted to. I still use them for many different projects around the house. They've held up great. I also have purchased cat scratchers and a cat tree. They have held up over time too. Great products, great service if you have a need for these products this is the place to get them.

We have had a C&D Pet Enclosure for many years. Scott, the owner, came out and customized this "catio" for us. It has held up well and the quality is awesome. All of our scratching posts and pet furniture are from C & D. They hold up over the years.we have 8 rescue cats and so these products get a LOT of use! Would never use anything else. Plus we LOVE supporting local business!

Wow, Wow, Wow! We purchased a custom cat-enclosure for our cats, which to say that everyone loves is an understatement! And, then we had to purchase several of their other products - perches, trees, triangles, pet steps. The quality of C & D products is simply superior to any other. Fantastic products. Thank you, C & D!

1/24/18 WHEN YOU BUY YOUR CAT A CARPET COVERED SCRATCHING POST AND THE CARPET FIBERS ARE ALL OVER YOUR LIVING ROOM.THEN YOU KNOW YOU'VE WASTED YOUR MONEY. C & D PET PRODUCTS SELLS THIS DEFECTIVE SCRATCHING POST. I'VE ONLY HAD IT FOR TWO WEEKS AND MY BOY IS A LAID BACK CAT, WHO SCRATCHES IT MAYBE TWICE A DAY. WHAT A MESS! AND IF MY CAT MANAGES TO EAT SOME OF THESE CARPET STRINGS THEN THAT TAKES THIS PROBLEM TO A HIGHER LEVEL! GOOD CARPET SHOULD BE WOVEN INTO A BACKING. THESE CARPET STRINGS FALL RIGHT OUT.I CALLED THE COMPANY TO LEAVE A VOICEMAIL AND SCOTT THE OWNER ANSWERED THE PHONE. RIGHT OFF I KNEW HE WAS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT.
I WANTED A REFUND OR A GIFT CARD. HE CAN ARRANGE TO HAVE SOMEONE PICK UP THIS CRAPPY PRODUCT, WHY SHOULD THE STORE CUSTOMER BEND OVER BACKWARDS? LUGGING DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS, RAINING, PACKING INTO CAR, WITH SHEDDING CARPET ALL OVER, USING MY GASOLINE TO DROP IT OFF AT PETCLUB, WHICH IS A DIFFICULT RETAIL STORE TO BEGIN WITH! SO SCOTT TELLS ME HE'S GOT TWO OPTIONS: 1) SEND ME A REPLACEMENT (HAHAHA AND GO THRU THE SAME DEJA-VU.NO WAY!) OR 2) HE'D SEND ME A CHECK BUT JUST THE WHOLESALE PRICE, WHAT HE CHARGED PETCLUB.I TOLD SCOTT MY OPTIONS: 1.
A GIFT CARD FOR THE FULL AMOUNT. SCOTT SAID, "WHAT'S WRONG DON'T YOU TRUST US?" WELL.NO.I DON'T, WHY SHOULD I? SCOTT LOST IT AND BECAME ERRATIC. I MENTIONED "MADE IN CHINA?" AND HE WAS OFFENDED. NO HE SAID, "WE MAKE OUR PRODUCTS RIGHT HERE IN PETALUMA". I GUESS CRAPPY PRODUCTS CAN BE MADE ANYWHERE THESE DAYS. HE CLAIMED HE COULDN'T SEND ME A FULL REFUND.
I TOLD HIM THAT HE COULD DO ANYTHING HE WANTS, HE OWNS THE COMPANY. SCOTT SAID "THAT DOESN'T MAKE ME RICH". OH POOR SCOTT. I TOLD HIM, "LISTEN CAREFULLY.IF I DON'T GET A COMPLETE REFUND I'LL BE WRITING UP A GOOGLE REVIEW. HE LOST HIS TEMPER AND TALKED RIGHT OVER ME BEFORE HANGING UP. WHAT A SAVVY BUSINESSMAN! LOL

I bought a 10ftx6ftx6ft catio enclosure last Spring from C&D Pet Products. Best money I ever spent. It is quality product, looks fantastic and most importantly, my cats love it and spend all day in it. Scott was great to work with and help me figure out what I would need for my particular situation. I was also able to save on shipping by comming down and picking it up since I'm fairly local.
I wish more people would get catios for their cats instead of letting them roam freely. this way they are happy and safe, win win. Again, stellar product, great customer service. I will probably enlarge the catio this year.

Why doesn't this place have more love? Instead of getting an expensive cat condo from petco or petsmart with cheap carpeting, come to this little local workshop and get a really high quality one. I had two of them that I got from the old, defunct Sammy's pet store decades ago. It lasted for DECADES. the carpet didn't get threadbare and unlike the petco ones that started to lose carpeting every time my cat used it, the only thing that needed to be replaced was the sisal. So, after a few years with the petco ones, I looked at the underside of my original cat stands and found the manufacturer name. Googled them. LOCAL! so psyched to be supporting a small, local guy.

C&D is the ONLY company I found that not only has quality craftsmanship, a beautiful look, and great weight, but (and most importantly), the right measurements. Looks don't matter if the measurements aren't right for your dog. You, and your dog, will be so thrilled with their proportions. I've looked around a lot (while trying to find a cheaper set for temporary use), and ended up seeing a number of "nicer" models, and NONE had the depth (think of your foot heel to toe on a step for depth) like C&D. C&D pet stairs are the same measurements you find in a (human) staircase.
The measurements they are used to. With other stairs, a dog has to "put on the brakes" as it hits each riser due to lack of depth. I just purchased my second set of carpeted dog stairs from them. There is nothing out there that matches their common sense! It's like you have a friend that knows EXACTLY what you want, and what your dog needs. Frankly, I didn't want to buy another set.
I bought one from C&D about 15 years ago and they are STILL fabulous. But recently, my husband had radical back surgery and the bed is big enough for him, and all post surgery paraphernalia, (plus a small dog), but he needs more room than a second person allows. Therefore, I shifted over to the guest room -- our two dogs like to split their night between us.
I thought, "This is temporary. I can do without steps for a while." Not. What a pain! So I decided to just buy a "cheapie" one for short term use. My dogs wouldn't go near it. A friend had ordered a set of carpeted stairs (from another company) and wasn't using them so he offered them to me. They looked great! And seemed well built. But then I noticed that the top stair would pull up a bit when I tried to shift it to adjust the quilt.
I never had that with C&D. Also, the individual steps were not quite as deep (or as wide) and the dogs had to "put on the brakes" as they hit each one so the next step didn't hit them in the chest. C&D few inches more in depth made a major difference in their ease of use. After both of my dogs repeatedly tripped over the top step of the borrowed set due to it wiggling a tad upon impact of their chest, or catch of their feet, (and my dogs are small), or they had to jump off mid-way because they gaged incorrectly, I just bit the bullet and bought another set.
There was no question where to go. C&D. I have one BIG regret: I didn't do it sooner. I'm just so happy that I kept their name handy because there is not another pair like them on the market. They may look the same, but they don't "measure up" (pun intended)!

Just ordered two more perches. These guys make a quality, solid product. You can tell a lot of love and care was taken to make each one and they really understand animals. I've bought cat furniture from online places in the past and was horribly disappointed, but not with this company. I'll never buy my furniture from any other place. I was lucky to find them.
