Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic - Carla Christman

Dr. Christman, the technicians and staff, namely Alyssa (sp?-thank you Alyssa, sorry if misspell!)-they all have come to my rescue many times when both my guinea pigs are old Boars and have health issues. They got my one little guy in before the weekend, and thank goodness because he has pneumonia and needed antibiotics. We've been through a lot of vets and have become very untrustworthy of all of them, so we are so happy to have found Healthy Pet! Our 2-year old teddy bear tends to be very naughty, so we find ourselves going into the vet more often than we'd like to admit, which is why we also buy pet insurance through Healthy Pet! We always feel our dog is well-taken care of and thoroughly accounted for.

They took my cat Winston and did a very great job with him. All other places said he was mean and needed a sedative to calm him down these people didn't even use a sedative in Winston was just great in there with them. Thank you!

Before I moved to Madison, I had such a hard time finding any vets near the Minneapolis area that took ferrets. When I did find a vet that took ferrets, they seemed to lack the knowledge and expertise my pet needed, and unfortunately, my ferret passed away at the age of 6 from cancer. Recently, I rescued two other ferrets after moving to the Madison area and was referred to Dr. Christman.

I couldn't be more happy with the care my pets received. Dr. Christman and her team were very friendly and knowledgeable about ferrets, and I ended up walking out of the door with updated rabbies and distemper vaccines, and ear mite solution to ease my ferrets' discomfort. I highly recommend Healthy Pet Vet for those who have ferrets and are looking for boarding and / or clinic visits.

I love this vet clinic! Dr Carla Christman has been my vet for 20 plus years! She goes beyond the call of duty and has giving me so much of her personal time helping me out and comforting me is times of sorrow of the loss of my dogs Guppy & Cooper. When you find a keeper like her. you don't leave! You know your pets are in the best hands! she what I call an Amazing Vet!

I love them. They treat my big dog with care and she is very scared and intimidating. I trust them and they are close to home. Super Awesome vet!

I take my fur babies to this wonderful place and couldn't be happier. The staff is phenomenal, I walk in and they greet my babies like they are their own. Let me just say my Walter is a french bulldog and a puppy who is incredibly unruly and has no sense of personal space, acts like this is his second home and the staff treat him as such. He recently was nutered and not once did I worry if he was being taken care of.

My Tucker a rescue Jack Russell is much older and it takes more to impress him, but his stubby little tail gets to wagging and a pep in his step when he sees the staff here. So if you're looking for a clinic to take your babies too, I highly recommend it, this is one of the best.

We went to Healthy Pet because we saw they had decent reviews and it was a convenient location. After having visited, I would not recommend taking any dog there. Every single appointment we had at healthy pet there was a "discrepancy or issue." On several occasions we were over charged, wrongfully informed, and mislead by the staff at Healthy Pet.

Most of the technicians seem to be very green and not comfortable with dogs especially large breeds. We witnessed our puppy being dragged across the floor in the lobby after having dropped her off for an appointment. We brought this to the Manager/Owner Mike Brewer's attention and he was very defensive and we were told we were lying about the care and treatment our dog received.

He is extremely aggressive and I don't think he has the best interest of his customers in mind which seemed to trickle down into their staffs culture as a whole. One scenario we were directly accused of lying and in another scenario I was hung up on over the phone while trying to receive clarification regarding a wrongful billing charge. Our trust and comfort in leaving our dog there for more than five minutes was completely tarnished with how they handle questioning of their care or billing.

Healthy Pet's receptionists and Dr. Christman are probably the only good treatment and care we received while we were there. The receptionists handled most of the discrepancies in payments and information we received which we are grateful for, but ultimately we feel that Healthy Pet is just trying to scam you for money in hopes that you won't question it. I strongly urge you to not visit this vet if you are seeking care for a dog.

I was very happy with my first visit to Healthy Pet Vet Clinic with my cat Tommy. The staff was super friendly, and I really appreciated the detailed answers to all of my questions. They also followed up with me via email. I will definitely be back and plan on Healthy Pet as Tommy's permanent vet.

We just got 3 kitties (Sisters) from my parents recently and we took them all in for their shots, etc and one of them had an eye/resp infection. The Vet there was very professional, nice who dealt with my Mom who brought the kitties in while I was at work. I really liked the follow up's they do via e-mail with each kitty's profile/info, etc. I'd highly recommend taking your cats/pets here! :)
