Horrible Products. Bought a 75 gallon tank with lid and light from PetSmart in Maine. Top of tank frame brace was made with glass that was 1/4 to large and pushing out on the tank glass. Silicone seal was not even size of glass width. Try getting in touch with the company is a joke. you get an answering machine. PetSmart was no better they listed it as a TOPFIN. worse experience in my 40 years as an aquarist. Between this company and PetSmart I wouldn't use their products if they were free.

North American Pet Products refuses to pay my small business, City Aquarium LLC, for contract services we rendered to their clients, PetCo, PetSmart, etcetera. Basically, they engaged us to perform maintenance on these stores' vivariums, we did the job successfully, and yet they still haven't paid us -- and some of this work stretches back to October 2019.
North American Pet Products acknowledges that they owe us money, but we've lost all hope that we will be paid. Other aquarium businesses, beware! They racked up a balance with us, over the course of seven jobs, and left us in the lurch. Don't let this happen to you.

Bought a cat tree from Kahoots made by this company and thought I got a reasonable deal until now! My poor cat sliced her paw on a the sharp end of a screw that is sticking out about 1/8. Clearly the wrong size screw was carelessly used to attach one of the levels. I would not recommend purchasing one of these!

I work a pet store that recently upgraded its fish system to the Genesis from North American Pets (NAP). From the beginning, we were given a weak heater. The water temperature got lower by the day. After 2 MONTHS of repeatedly calling and sending in work orders to NAP, we finally were given a second heater. It was broken. Throughout this mess, our fish caught Ich and I couldn't get rid of it because the temperature wouldn't go above 74 degrees.
Before I discovered the Ich problem, I bought a fish for my personal tank. After a couple days of quarantine, I put it into my own tank. Well, it spread Ich to everyone and despite all my attempts at alternative treatments for my scaleless fish, I lost my two HUGE $40 clown loaches. I was devastated! None of this would have happened had NAP responded to our original work order instead of making us jump through all those hoops.
I requested that NAP reimburse me for the loaches (I was fine with paying for the meds and the ton of water needed for water changes for the treatment process of my big tank), but I got no response. They can't even make it up to a customer they screwed over due to their own negligence. Horrible customer service.
