Services
Born of a love for dogs living at their best, in 1999 Little Dogs began a mission to provide the finest cage-free Overnight Care, DayPlay, and Salon experience in Salt Lake City. We cater to specific small breeds weighing in at less than 30lbs and whose temperaments are compatible with a fun, engaging social setting.
Did you know. Modern dogs have a surprisingly difficult life due to us humans? Yes they get fed without having to hunt, but our dogs were designed to be in a pack and to roam freely. As they have become domesticated, we've removed the natural way of achieving two of their essential desires. This makes many dogs much more difficult (think "stressed") to live with than they otherwise would be.
The diagram to the left shows the basics of our rotational model that combines group play, enrichment, learning, fun, rest, and one on one time. At our luxurious and caring campus, your pup is going to THRIVE! Your dog deserves more and helping your dog learn basic manners, food control, how to sit and not run out the door, not to mention less jumping up on people when it's inappropriate. Its this type of behavior that helps us all give our dogs the quality life they deserve. At Little Dogs, we understand this process completely.
Just like school for our human kiddos, we want to give our dogs structure, fun, and a stress free way to live their best lives. Doing this requires a bespoke, hand-crafted curriculum that has the flexibility to meet each dog's individual needs. At the basic level this means a rotation of activity and rest.

Initially, I left a review with five stars because the staff I met during my first visit was pleasant. Our second visit was not pleasant at all. They gave my dog "Advantage, " which was not discussed. I don't mind them giving it to my dog. However, I wish they would have told us before administering it. I also requested a photo; they said it was $5, and I thought they would send a couple of pictures during the day. However, they charged me $10 because I requested an additional photo.
I felt $10 for two images was a bit pricey, whereas other locations would have video surveillance that I could see with my phone. The other comment I have is that I was looking to find boarding; I asked to see the areas, but the owner did not want me to see them; she asked me if I saw them during OT, and I told her I didn't. She said it would be similar to what I saw during the OT (which may be similar, but I wanted to see it in person because my dog will be left there for over 12 hours between 7 pm -7 am without supervision).
She said no one would be watching the dogs during those hours, except that the general manager lives close, and if something happens, they can come. I also asked her if I could see my dog, who was outside with other dogs, I know there are rules, and I understand other dogs would be frustrated to see a human while they play, but because this was my dog's second visit, I wanted to see how he was playing, but the owner said, it was time for the dogs to come back inside, she didn't allow me to see them.
Before I left, I went over the total cost with the owner, and she said it was $20, including Advantage and the PER STAY picture perfect pawstcard. When they sent me a receipt, I realized they charged $5 more for the additional photo (which is not a lot); I called and asked for an explanation. One of the staff told me that it was per photo, which was not communicated before. Perhaps, I'm cheap but do you really want to charge $5 per photo?
I request a refund for the passes because I didn't think I could trust the staff anymore (not clear communication). I purchased five daycare passes, and I have three left, which I asked them to refund, but I never received a call back from the owner. I wished I had a better experience with them because I like the fact that they only accept small dogs, but I am very disappointed with how they respond to customers.

They always take great care of our dogs, we leave our two little dogs there, we bought a membership as we travel often. Each time we are gone they send photo's daily, the dogs are well fed, they sleep in their own beds that we bring for them. The staff is friendly and responsive. But what matters most is our dogs come home just as we left them, there has never been an issue with safety or illness, there has never been the slightest bit of concern. I would advise you to bring your dogs here without hesitation.

Little Dogs Resort is the most personal daycare and boarding experience we've found in Salt Lake. Remy is the new kid on the block there, but so far he loves it! With previous daycare or boarding it would often take him a couple of days to bounce back to his usual peppy personality. So far with Little Dogs, while he's always pooped when he gets home (which we love), he also bounces right back to his usual self. He seems to get lots of love and attention there. Thanks to everyone there for taking care of our little buddy! We appreciate you!

Such an amazing experience They took such good care of my dog and when I went to pick him up from boarding there at first he was happy to stay there. He ran to go sit on the couch there. When we were waiting to get him I was watching them take care of the other dogs and they treat them with such loving care I was so happy and felt so much better about boarding him.
Now he knows how to play with a ball which before he went there he did not know how to get it or bring to us. I just can not say enough great things about this place. I highly recommend taking your dog here.

I love this place and so does my dog. Jacob is great and gives my dog personal attention. He always remembers us even though we live out of the way and don't make it there as much as we'd like. The staff there are always friendly and helpful and seem to genuinely care about the dogs there. I have my dog bathed there, too, and he always looks great afterward. I highly recommend this very cool place. Try the enrichment program with mental and physical exercises! My dog loved it.

We love little dogs! Our baby is enrolled in the enrichment program 3 days a week. He cries and scratches at the window when we get off of the exit because he's so excited and knows exactly where we're going! The enrichment program is so nice. It's like daycare and training all in one! He loves the agility course. The staff is so friendly. We consider them family! If you're looking for something to wear your dog out and keep them learning while doing it, then the enrichment program is for you! 10/10 would recommend!

I am so so thrilled to have found Little Dogs Resort. I stumbled upon them during a boarding crisis after a Rover failed us - we were already out of town and they graciously walked me through all the registration over the phone. My Pom is normally anxious but really seems to enjoy his stays with them, thanks to their attentive and knowledgeable staff!
We love the photo updates during his stays, as well. I've worked with Ava Veater, Jacob Stone, and Katie Johnson, all of whom are kind, quick to respond to any requests or questions, and make booking new stays a breeze. I highly recommend this team and their services!

I have been bringing my Chihuahua mix, Pickles Finklestein, to Little Dogs Resort for about 10 years. The staff has always been very attentive & professional. The building & grounds inside & out are always clean & well-kept. My dog loves it there & loves the staff. He gets so excited when we get into the car he just can't wait to get there. The staff always greets him by name & are genuinely happy & excited to see him.
When I pick him up they tell me what he's been up to & sometimes send me pictures or videos of him having fun with all his buddies. The groomer always does an excellent job trimming his toenails making our lives so much better. If there is a problem they address it quickly & with care. During this pandemic, they have gone out of their way to ensure the safety of all us by keeping an extra clean facility, wearing coverings over their clothes, masks & gloves & coming to the car to get him & bring him to me. Pickles & I can't thank the owner, manager & staff enough for all the kindness, caring & love they have given to my little guy! I would highly recommend Little Dogs & Resort to anyone.
