Services
What does this do for your furry friend? Our pet sitters offer patience, time, experience and lots of love. Under our care in your home, your pets will be protected illness that exposure to other animals may cause; they will remain on the same healthy diet that you've placed them on; and possibly most importantly, they will experience the same daily routine, reducing the stress and anxiety that can occur in noisy, unfamiliar surroundings such as boarding kennels. We will follow your routine as closely as possible, including feeding & watering, exercising & playing, administering any necessary medication.
Is your schedule too hectic to be there when your companion animal family member needs you? Are there last-minute business functions that keep you away from home for long hours? Is your four-legged family member showing signs of separation anxiety or behaving differently after being boarded? Or maybe you're one of those pet owners.
Your pet remains in his or her safe, secure environment where sights, sounds and smells are familiar. Your pet is not traumatized or stressed by travel in a car, being crated or remaining in a cage for the duration of your absense. Your home is more secure because we make sure it has that "lived-in" look: mail/newspaper pick-up, lights on/off, blinds opened/closed, etc. You will be able to relax and enjoy your time away from home knowing your pet is being cared for in their comfortable, home environment.
There is no need to look any further for a pet sitting company. This is the one. Professional and exceptional. Owner Hideyo Yamamoto has been helping us for over two years now with our 2 cats and has been 110% there for us and them. Recently, we left for a month-long vacation and could do so without worry because of the confidence we have in her.

Once again, I'm so happy I found Wags to Whiskers. I'm so comfortable leaving my two fur babies to get away when I need to and not having to worry about them. I get pics every visit with updates. They clean the yard up and bring the mail in. They even stay overnight if needed. Really amazing couple and so friendly. You won't regret having them take care of your pets!

I was extremely happy with the care we received for our three cats! They are former street cats and extremely shy with strangers so I was very anxious about leaving them in someone else's care. Hideyo texted me each time that she visited and sent me pictures of the kitties so that I knew they were doing well. They became comfortable enough with her to even let her brush them!
She was very reliable, friendly, and communicative. She also took the initiative to quickly resolve any issues that cropped up when we were gone. We will absolutely be booking her again wherever we need to travel!

We have been using Hideyo's pet sitting services for about 9 months or so. She has pet sit on at least five different occasions now and we've had zero issues. She is always available via text or phone call. She confirms her pet sitting a day before hand and she texts pictures when she visits our dogs. I recommend her services if you need a pet sitter for your dogs (or cats for that matter!).

This has been such a wonderful experience! First, she offered to care for my diabetic cat during Christmas time when everywhere else was full, even though she herself was very busy with others. Second, while I was gone she sent pictures and updates which was so appreciated considering no where else does that. And lastly, when my cat threw up she was very concerned and checked in on him often. She even comes to check on him and check his glucose now. She has taught me so much about how to care for my cat. Such a wonderful lady and I'm so grateful to her.

Hideyo is a wonderful pet sitter! From the initial consultation, through the actual pet sitting, Hideyo was communicative and caring, and very detail-oriented. She and Gregory took care of our dog and cat for over a week during the holidays (overnight stays and everything). It was wonderful to know they were well cared for. I'll definitely be requesting her services again.

Wags to Whiskers sets the bar for what pet sitting is for Albuquerque. We would hire them again in a heartbeat. We were gone for a month and they took care of everything and made us feel safe we felt that our cats and snails were being taken care of with the upmost professionalism and love for animals. Wags to Whiskers is intelligent and will make sure that your house is safe and pets are safe while you are away.
If I could give more stars, I absolutely would. Don't hesitate to go away to see your family or for a weekend. Wags to Whiskers will make sure everything, and I mean everything, is taken care of. Worth every penny!

I am so happy with the service and support I have received from Hideyo, owner of From Wags and Whiskers, over the past 6 months taking care of our two cats, Tofu and Miso. Our cats usually are a bit skittish around new people, however, they immediately bonded with Hideyo when she first visited for our orientation meeting. She has provided us with great advice about how to care for our cats and keep them safe when we travel, and I love that she sends photos and videos of them each time she visits. Recently, she has gone above and beyond to help with the recovery our youngest cat when she became very ill while we were away. She is truly the guardian angle for our little Miso. I trust From Wags and Whiskey full-hearty to care for my pets as if they were her own kitties. Highly recommend!

Great pet-sitting service! Hideyo took care of our three cats over Christmas, and we were very happy with her services. She was very thorough with what needed to be done, what our itinerary was, what we needed to do for her to make sure our cats were safe, and extras like bringing in mail, etc. She texted every day and sent photo, too. Our flight home was delayed overnight, and she responded right away. We would highly recommend From Wags to Whiskers!

Hideyo was highly recommended by a friend and I was also very pleased with her care of my 2 cats. I particularly liked the pictures of my guys and long texts of their activities. It was clear she had bonded with them and they were very relaxed when I returned home. I know she is extremely conscientious regarding the pets she cares for as our first meeting to introduce her to my place and the cats had to be postponed as another of her client's flight was delayed and she had to make an unexpected stop to continue to care for that client's animals. It was great to know she will go above and beyond if something unexpected arises when I am away.

Hideyo Yamamoto is exceptional in her care for my cats Ray and Stella. She initiates her services with an at home interview with you and your animals and is very caring and loving to your pets. She works very hard and takes very good care of my cats. I always come home after my trips with them happy and healthy to see me. Ms Yamamoto also sends me pictures throughout my trips to show me that she is there and that they are doing well which is always a relief!
She has helped me in some tight situations with little notice and I am very grateful for her services. This picture was actually taken by her when I was last out of town at the Grand Canyon.

Hideyo is the best cat sitter in town! We really love and appreciate how well she takes care of our kitty and our home while we are away. She really understands cats, and is very in tune with our kitty's needs. We love that she always sends us lots of pictures and updates while we are away. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring cat sitter.

I too hated to leave this, with her having such great marks from the majority, but I agree with the poor reviews she got here and on Angie's list. I guess I expect more since I owned my own pet sitting business for many years before relocating and deciding on going back to college. I don't even know where to begin. She came to my house and we went over everything.
She never questioned anything so I assumed she understood. I showed her the lights I wanted on and off. I told her I was going to try to set up a timer, but if I didn't I showed her the ones I expected to be on in the evening and off during the day. I also told her I would try to set up the tv, but if I didn't I would want it on for him.
I showed her the windows I wanted opened and closed (she never said let me work the blinds to be sure I understand how, but then again, it's blinds, all you do is pull the string.) I told her how wanted them fed and the TIME I wanted them fed. Right off the bat she argued about the times. She barely stayed 10 minutes when she did finally show up.
Some days she stayed a little longer, but when I petsit, your money paid for one hour visit. Or at the very least 30 minutes. I had accidentally left a light on and asked her to turn it off and she literally hung up on me. I was a thousand miles away and entrusted her with my home and my babies and she hung up on me. So unprofessional. She acted like she didn't know how to work light switches.
Or the tv. I was unable to set up a timer for it (the tv) and she refused to work it for me. So I had to leave it in, night and day, the entire week. Also, she was turning on lights I never asked her to turn on. She didn't open the window by my plants so for an entire week they didn't get sunlight. When I said something she acted like she didn't know how to open a curtain or a blind (remember she never asked during orientation).
Her excuse, and she had plenty, was that they were too fragile. (Sorry I'm not rich and don't have new curtains). When I got home I text her I made it and to tell her she had left the key IN MY LOCK SO ANYONE COULD HAVE ENTERED MY HOME and she never even replied back! I had told her I would be out of range that entire day As I was heading back, and when I got into range I had a ton of messages where she was trying to save face about how she rescues cats and I guess she was pouting because I had not answered her, but I am on vacation.
I had no desire to sit and argue with someone I paid to do a job. 250 dollars is what I paid her. I gave her a 30 dollar tip! She seemed not to understand I was hiring her, not the other way around. The cup I used to scoop the cat food was sitting on my counter with cat food still in it (it belonged in my service room in the food can with the lid, I am not sure why it was even in the kitchen in the first place) and cat food was scattered all over my counters attracting ants.
When I walked out the back door there was cat food scattered on the ground in front of the door where she had spilled cat food and didn't even get it up, again attracting ants. Her pictures of her with the animals are her running in and sticking her hand in front of your pet to snap a photo then she leaves right away. It is not her spending any sort of time with them.
I am not sure how she has such great ratings. Maybe those people do not expect as much for 250 bucks but I am very disappointed. She did feed and water them, but that's all you get. For that I could have carried my inside cat to a kennel and I could have asked the neighbors to feed the feral. I wanted my home to be taken care of as well as my kitties routines to be the same.
She had recently had eye surgeries and as someone who has suffered with poor sight for three years trying to get the correct vision, I had empathy and I tried to show her grace. But for her to leave food all over my counters, to leave my key in the lock and to not even respond when I text I was home.well that was they last straw. I will never use her again. I had such high hopes too. I do not recommend her to watch your plants, let alone your home or your babies.

Hideyo has truely been a Godsend for my wife and I. We travel a lot she is remarkably dependable in caring for our two kitties -- one who needs shots for his diabetes. Her impact goes far beyond just feeding them, litter maintenance. She's extremely knowledgable about cats (and dogs, presumably) and we believe she has extended our cats' life with her advice in dealing with his condition. I really don't know what we'd do without her :)

My cat and I love Hideyo! It's so important for me to leave my cat with someone who will love and care for her as much as I do. As soon as I met Hideyo, I knew that she would do that. She is so kind, sincere, and affectionate with my cat. I use her service quite a bit and she has always been available, even on short notice. She sends me the cutest videos and pictures of my cat every day I'm gone. I appreciate the peace of mind I get from leaving my cat in very good hands!

Hideyo walked my dog and did overnight sitting for my dog and cat for the last year. Hideyo was amazing? My pets absolutely LOVED her. She is also extremely reliable, flexible, and kind. She truly loves animals and they love her in return. Hideyo was the first person I thought to call when I found a cat. Luckily, I found the owner, but Hideyo is actively involved in feline rescues and had access to a microchip scanner and temporary housing for cats.
She immediately agreed to help with keeping this cat out of a shelter while the owner was found. I recently had to relocate out of the area for work and was truly sad to have to say goodbye to her (as were my pets)! I could not recommend her more highly!

From Wags to Whiskers gives me confidence to leave my cats for weekend getaways and vacation. I have 2 cats, and one of them does not do well alone overnight (i.e. litter box avoidence and anxiety). Hideyo does an excellent job of giving my cats attention and cuddles when I'm gone, and she texts pictures each visit! It is very reassuring knowing they are doing well and eating normally, and that the cat boxes are scooped each visit. Hideyo also makes me feel like she loves my cats, and that makes it so much easier for me to leave them because they are being cared for by someone who enjoys them and knows their quirks. From Wags to Whiskers is extremely professional, and I like that they keep my keys so we don't have to meet prior to each trip.

Stacie has been walking my dog for over a month now several days a week. She's punctual and caring. I even get daily text updates of how my dog performed that day and a couple pictures as well. One evening I was home early and saw my dog's reaction when she came in and he was so thrilled to see her I knew she must be taking great care of him. Highly recommend.

Hideyo is basically our labs second mom. We like to travel a lot and our entire family is in Chicago. In average we use her services about 4 times a year. Or maybe a little more depending on our travels. I feel extremely grateful for her because a few months ago we lost my fiance's father. It was a very stressful time for us and we had to worry about our little one back in Albuquerque.
We were gone for about 2 weeks and when we scheduled her sitting services we did one week with the rest up in the air. Hideyo was extremely patient and worked with us to make sure our dog was ok. We also went to Puerto Rico for a little over a week and she sent us updates on our dog and how she was doing. She honestly cares about my dog like her own. I always feel comfortable leaving my doggie and my house in her hands.

We recently moved to Albuquerque with our older cat. Shortly after moving in, we had a small window to get away for a long weekend before starting new jobs and rejoining the rat race. We almost didn't make the trip out of concern that this would stress Mr. Cat so shortly after changing homes, but after getting in touch with Hideyo of From Wags to Whiskers, we felt reassured he would be in good hands.
She came out within hours of calling for a consultation on short notice (we were hoping to leave the next day) and hit it off with our cat immediately. She texted frequently with updates while we were away, and had had very reasonable rates for daily home feeding/play visits. For new Albuquerqueans (?) who didn't know anyone in town she was a life saver!
