City Dogs

A wonderful location for a dog to sniff around and pick out a treat. We are not from the area, and the employee was so kind to our sweet Bear. He picked out a chew treat and we were able to get him some pumpkin packets for our trip. Would highly recommend for any dog lovers!

I was able to find the loudest sqeaky toy here for my friend and her dog Peanut to enjoy. Overall, very cute shop!

Go here often for specialty treats for the dog and cat. They have a cool selection of homemade treats, as well as various packaged ones you can't find in other stores. It's fun to bring the dog when we can as well.

It's a lovely little shop. They are represented really well by the person behind their counter who was really helpful when I was in. The sell quality items. I definitely recommend if you want something different than what you can just pick up at any old chain of pet stores.

The best! They truly care about you and your FurKids. Our dog was sick for months with a liver issue and they always helped us find food and supplements that his sensitive stomach could digest easily. Each staff member is knowledgeable and will help you find what you need.

Love this place! Staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. I moved here from CA and I finally found a place that resembles the amazing store I went to there. Highly recommend, good quality products, and the only place I have found that sells my dog's food!

We really enjoy City Dogs Grocery in Speedway on Main Street by The Voom Room and Charlie Brown's restaurant. You'll find free parking on Main Street or on any of the nearby side streets. The patio area has outdoor tables to rest at while on a dog walk and share a few City Dog doggie treats with your fur babies. Dogs are welcome indoors so stop by and let them pick a new treat or a toy. Locally made fresh doggie treats are at the counter and our dogs really enjoy them.

They carry adorable dog and cat toys and supplies for your pets. Colorful toys made of rope, squeaky ones or stuffed animals are just a few you'll find as soon as you enter the shop. Water vest, backpacks, collars, leashes and many other items are available. If you don't see a product just ask one of the friendly staff. They are great about answering questions and finding products.

Top quality pet food can be purchased here, too. Dry, can or raw feeding food are located in the back of the store. The staff are knowledgeable about the food and can advise you if you're unsure what brand or type of food is best for your pets. On Thursday's, in conjunction with the Speedway Local Market, City Dogs will have a few pets that are searching for a forever home to a qualified person or family.

They share pictures and names of the dogs/cats available on Facebook, Instagram and other social media. Stop by and check out this adorable shop right on Main Street for all your pet needs.

They are so nice and knowledgeable about pet care. They have the best products around. My puppy pitbull loves to visit and they always give her treat.

Awesome place. I will walk up mass Ave about 3-4 times with the dogs and stop at this place. Picked up a pig nose and duck head for the pups. Marissa is amazing. Thanks, will be back. Love you guys!

We LOVE City Dogs grocery, if there's a traffic mess downtown the newer Fountain Square location is also Great! The staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to knowing what product you should be giving you're furbaby. An the selection of dehydrated treats is wonderful, both my baby's just love getting to go shopping at City Dogs! They recently gave us a sample to add to their food & it's helped a lot with dry skin! I highly recommend stopping by an seeing what a great store this is.

This place is the BEST! The staff is very knowledgeable and so friendly. They really care about your floofers. We have a very picky eater and they gave us samples of all kinds of food to try. The owner is super nice and it's our favorite spot in town. They always have fun new treats in stock that our pup loves!

WOW! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection of healthy dog food and treats. I explained what food my fur babies were eating and what I was trying to accomplish. The staff walked me through different types of food and gave me time to make a decision that I think would benefit my dogs. I'm glad I didn't travel to suburbia just to buy another bag of a lesser quality from the chain stores.

There is also a loyalty program . City Dogs Grocery is my new store for all my pet needs. I think Mass Ave has a reputation for quality restaurants and stores and CDG fits right in. Kudos to you!

Look, I know going into a store designed for dogs is going to be more expensive than buying at a big box store. If you are only getting the cheapest things for your pet/self, then maybe this isn't the store for you. But if you like high quality items and want your four legged pets to be healthy and well cared for, then stop on by! This shop opened earlier in 2019 and is one of three around town (one in Fountain Square and one on Mass Ave).

I found that my dog loves the treats that are carried here and I was able to ask for assistance finding them (it was my first time in this location). Sure enough, they had the ones I was looking for and a few other flavor combinations as well. I have one of those small, somewhat picky dogs that gets bored with eating the same chow all the time. But I've noticed that these treats have stayed a favorite for a long time. So, I like rewarding her after we complete long walks in the morning and she seems pretty happy.

The woman who helped us was friendly and was able to answer my questions without coming across as snooty or condescending. It was apparent that she loves her pets as much as we love ours and I don't find that at the big box stores. It makes the shopping more personal and enjoyable. So, if you like finding quality items for your dog, stop on by this or one of the other locations. Review #3172
