Chateau Marmutt

We chose Marmutt to care for our new family member, Gemma. As a 2 Y/o rescue, we didn't know how she would respond to off-leash play. The staff at Marmutt were attentive and effective in managing her behavior on her first day. To boot, they were skilled at communicating what they observed and how they plan to manage any issues. Michele, the owner, is fantastic and demonstrates how much she cares about the well being the dogs in her care.

I called Chateau Marmutt to ask about grooming for my labradoodle puppy. I was very specific and asked if they had any experience with grooming this type of breed. After being reassured they groomed plenty of doodles, I dropped my puppy off for his first cut. What he received is completely unacceptable. It looks like someone went scissor happy on his ears and his coat is unevenly cut all through out, including the crown of his head.

They shaved it completely even after I showed a photo of what I wanted. This cut was NOT done by a professional and I would not take him back nor recommend anyone with a doodle to get groomed here. They seem to run a lovely daycare for dogs so again, this is strictly on their grooming services. Disappointed to say the least and my puppy's coat looks awful.

I love this place! We've taken my mini Aussie Doodle here around 8 times for grooming, teeth brushing, etc. and their work is always high quality and consistent. My dog is very shy, but always seems comfortable with the groomer. She clearly loves dogs and cares a lot. She also took the time to talk to me about our preferences and special needs for an upcoming trip. They also have lots of cute stuff and dog products, so shopping there is easy too. I highly recommend!

First time taking our little boy archie for a groom at this spot & it was great! The groomer was so attentive, nice and sweet! She took notes and listened to exactly what we wanted. I Wish I asked for her name but she has bright blue eyes and was the kindest person ever, so book her asap! Price is fair, haircut was perfect and the staff were all very kind. Definitely the new chateau for our little man :

I brought my two elderly Lhasa Apsos for grooming a couple of weeks ago. I had met a man walking an adorable Brichon Frise and asked where he'd taken his dog. I was very happy with the way my dogs looked. We will be returning!

Excellent day care. Great service. I can trust them with my pup and highly recommend.

The crew here is wonderful to my pups. We do day care and boarding and both have worked out great. Often I throw in a bath which makes life easy. The staff are all dog lovers. Recommend!

Every time I pass this place I think about how I got ripped off. This happened a few years ago but since resentment and irritation jumped out again when I saw the reviews. I took in my two medium sized, sweet tempered short haired mutts for baths. The owner charged me $65 for EACH dog. I hadn't looked on the website for prices. I couldn't imagine a store owner price gouging when there are so many other great groomers in town.

But - there you have it. Admittedly, I should have done my homework before I went. I won't go back. I'm posting this to alert you guys to what type of person you are supporting. Spend your money somewhere else.

Had to Evacuate our house in Malibu and are living in a Hotel with our dog Had invite to go to Thanksgiving dinner but could not leave my dog that long in the hotel by herself We brought her to Chateau for the day I wanted to pick my dog after they had closed and the owner drove over late thanksgiving day so we could pick our dog up Thank you for taking care of our family

I've been taking Pancake and Godiva to Chateau Marmutt for years. I can't speak about their daycare, but they always have talented groomers who keep a record of my preferred cuts, styles and notes for my babies haircuts. They offer teeth brushing (extra charge), anal gland expression, and nail work in the price of the grooming and bathing service and my Yorkie and Maltipoo always come out looking like celebrities. Everyone for years have been super friendly. I would recommend.

Love every single thing about taking my pup to Chateau Marmutt for daycare! The staff are the absolute best, always friendly and genuinely happy to see you and your pup. The owner, Michelle, is hands on and often closes out the store. The selection of things for sale in the store is beautiful and I can't wait to try out Grooming and Boarding next!

We were a first time customer and it will be our last. 2.5 hours for a bath for a beagle. Place smelled like dirty dog and pee. Pup went in with no fleas; left with a flea on her after a bath. We told the guy at the front and he was just o well no dog on the property has fleas. We will not be going back.

We should have written this review forever ago, because our pup has been going there since the day we brought him home and he absolutely loves it! If we even say the word daycare he starts freaking out and running to the door to head there. The staff are so sweet, beyond attentive and know every dog by name. They are very well equipped to handle doggie scuffles and we feel very secure in leaving our pup in there even for overnights.

We love that everything is off-leash and they are never kennelled (since we never crate trained our pup, we think that could be scary for him). Even their grooming is the best of the best, whatever scent they use is amazing and he even loves their blow dry technique (but hates ours at home)! 5 stars hands down!

DO NOT PATRONIZE! Abusive groomer! My wife and we're just there to drop our dog off for grooming and witnessed a groomer slamming on the daycare fence scowling at the dogs, screaming "NO" at them. This was not a disciplinary command, it was clearly about domination, I wouldn't have been surprised if she hit one of the dogs. When I confronted her about it she claimed the dogs dogs jumped up and tried to bite her. They're dogs, behind a fence, in daycare, they get excited whenever a human walks by and they couldn't have bitten her because they were behind a fence.

They weren't being aggressive to any of the other employees, one of whom was in the fenced in area. We walked out. I'm convinced I saved my dog from an abusive experience.

Lost a dog while visiting LA We put up signs and looked for three days. While we were leaving la. we received a call from c.m. affirming that they found her. Great people! Can't thank them enough. Please patronize chateau marmutt they have a great staff and they help the doggie community!

Could not be happier with this place! I have taken my dog, Louie, there on a number of occasions and they are always more than welcoming and treat him as if he is their own. I know he is safe and happy while we are away.he is also exhausted when he comes home which is a good thing.sleeps all night. Viv (Vivien)is the lady with whom I have dealt with mostly and she couldn't be sweeter.

In fact, one evening we were running behind and were going to miss the deadline before closing time.she arranged to stay late so that we were not forced to pay for another day. I will not take my dog to any other day care. Thank you Viv and Chateau Marmut for taking such good care of our pup!

I have come to love this place as much as my dog does. He is so happy every time I drop him off. They have doggie trampolines and plenty of balls for each of the doggies to wrestle with. They really seem to care-which is so important because my dog is like family to me and his happiness is all that matters.

Fantastic selection in their boutique; toys, clothes or necessities. From Beverly Hills to West Hollywood this is by far the best you will find around town from daycare to grooming.

I love chateau marmutt and trust them absolutely with my little baby scout. They are terrific at grooming him/ daycare and overnight. I have been going to CM for over a year and highly recommend them. The staff is friendly and really get to know the dogs and owners!

Amazing dog day care by far! I love that my rambunctious, I wanna play all the time "chow chow charlie" has such a good time! It's super cute, when I pick her up from an overnight.she cries as we pull away! charlie's happy mommy's happy!

After a recommendation from my boss, I took my big pup Rocket here to get groomed. Chateau Marmutt is just about 3 blocks down from my office, so it was super convenient for me. Next time I'll definitely just walk him over and back. I called early this morning around 7:30AM and was told I could drop him off at 10AM before work. Amazing. I have an approx. 110lb Samoyed (he's a big boy) with lots of white (well.at this point, it was more like grey) fur. Dropped him off with what appeared to be very caring hands.

They followed up with a call halfway though to make sure they could shave his belly area, as it had been done before, to keep him clean. Rocket likes to lay around on the dirt often and he usually stains his belly area, so this is the best option for him. When he was ready, they gave me a call (took approx 2.5 hours) and I was greeted by a fluffy, white, delicious-smelling Rocket! It's like he was a band new dog.

I love how he looks and smells and he seemed to like the groomer and the staff, so I know he was treated well. I'll definitely be coming back here again! PS The gentleman who groomed Rocket even helped me lift Rocket back into my car (he has a bad leg and is overweight, so it's sometimes a challenge to get him into my SUV). Thank you so much!

Had a Gilt City deal for a wash for a small dog. This shop is adorable and the doggie day care area is awesome. I would definitely consider bringing my little angel for some playtime and day care. I also really appreciate that the shop is secured with a gate just inside the front door. with a location on a busy street, I like the extra insurance that puppies can't bolt out the front door.

Staff was friendly and clearly adore their pups. When I picked up my little Yorkie, she was adorable and smelled wonderful. not the strong overly perfumed stuff that other groomers use. just fresh and clean. And the little pink barrette in her hair was just too cute. Highly recommend.

They don't call the dog shop a "boutique" for nothing. When I think of boutique, I think "expensive".and this place is a castle of expensive dog goodies deserves the name "boutique". Very cute things though.if you have a small pooch, and don't mind spending the money, this place has many dog clothes (about $20 a shirt!), trendy dog carriers that look like real purses that I would wear ($89-$150), and little squeeky dog toys ($4 for a 3" toy to $10 for a 6" toy) for you and your dog.

Sensitive noses? Since Chateau Marmutt is also a doggie daycare/boarding place in the back, it also reeks of dog pee. Dog teeth cleaning? They do offer once a month non-anesthetic dog cleaning ($90-$125) which I thought was cool. I can't speak of their dog boarding service, but the front store does have a few useful dog things, if you can afford it.
