The mission of Pant & Wag (PAW) is to help dogs achieve their optimal levels of health and happiness.We achieve this goal through a workout plan which features constantly changing exercises custom designed for your dog, while delivering to you a supreme level of convenience and customer service. After all, your dog should enhance your life not dominate your time.
Why limit your dog to boring dog walkers, unstructured doggy daycare, or unpleasant dog trainers? Pant & Wag provides a fun and customized workout for your dog which may include exciting activities such as hiking and biking through Rock Creek Park, an underwater workout using our underwater treadmill, and even 'pawlates' exercises using a balance ball.
All dogs need a minimum of 30 minutes of aerobic exercise per day, and many need at least double that amount. Leisurely walks around the neighborhood rarely accomplish this goal. Chances are your dog is a much better athlete than you are, so if you're not physically exhausted at the end of your walks, then your dog hasn't been aerobically worked enough.
PAW workouts go far beyond just dog running and dog walking.

Since 2010 Pant & Wag's (PAW) Fitness Adventures have helped Washington DC's best dogs have fun, lose weight, alleviate boredom, and maintain health and happiness. To put it simply, we are the first and most experienced dog fitness / dog adventure company in Washington, DC.
Founded in 2010, Pant & Wag (PAW) was born out of the simple realization that DC dog daycare and dog walkers in Washington DC do not provide dogs with enough fun, outdoor exercise where they can engage with nature and socialize in a playgroup with other similar DC dogs. Dogs of all types and fitness levels will benefit from our Fitness Adventure Program.
Pant & Wag's signature service is our group Fitness Adventures for DC dogs. Fitness Adventures are exercise-based excursions and adventures for dogs which allow your awesome pup to have fun by doing what he was born to do. A professional Canine Fitness Coach will exercise your dog with a group of similar dogs for a Fitness Adventure that your pooch will love.
Our service area encompasses most of Georgetown, Burleith, Glover Park, and parts of Palisades and Cathedral Heights in NW Washington, DC. Even within the neighborhoods above, there are some areas/buildings that we can not serve due to parking restrictions, key restrictions, or other logistical problems.

Pant & Wag is the best service I've ever encountered for dogs! Sean and team are enthusiastic, extremely caring, and reliable. Our dog Ollie had the privilege of going on 100+ adventures with Pant & Wag. She sprints to the door when they arrive to get her, smiling and tail wagging, and always comes home full exercized, tired, and relaxed. I simply can't say enough positive things about Pant & Wag and their DC Dog Adventures. Thanks for building an incredible business, Sean! The hardest part of our move is knowing how much Ollie will miss her adventures. We will miss you dearly!

We have used Pant and Wag for both the group adventures and boarding for a couple of years for our dog, Theo, and we can't say enough good things about Sean's services. The reports from our dog's adventures (with routes, pictures, and videos) are the highlight of our day. Sean is always very responsive and reliable and we know that our dog is in the best hands. Theo gets so excited every time he sees Sean. We highly recommend Pant and Wag!

I was lucky enough to run into another dog walker in my neighborhood a couple of months ago. During our conversation, I complained that I couldn't give my dog, Teddy, the exercise that he needs due to knee problems. Teddy is three years old, very friendly, and has LOTS of energy. We walk a couple of miles each day, but it still wasn't enough. My neighbor told me about Pant and Wag.
I owe him big time. Sean at Pant and Wag came out and "interviewed" Teddy and me, and we set up a two day a week schedule for him to take Teddy hiking and running, rain or shine. I was a little concerned because Teddy sometimes has a bit of a separation anxiety issue, but he INSTANTLY took to Sean. (I think Sean may be a "dog whisperer") Now, when I drop Teddy off, he can't wait to see Sean and his other dog friends.
He doesn't even look back at me. And Sean seems to adore Teddy. Sean is so easy to get along with. I love that I can talk to him about any Teddy concerns that I have and get his takes/observations on my little guy. Being his mom of course, I think he's perfect, but it never hurts to get another opinion! After the hikes, Sean sends an email with a map, and pictures/video of where they were (they go all over the place in DC and MD).
The email shows the path they traveled, the distance, and observations from Sean. I love it! I could go on and on about Sean and Pant and Wag. I want to seriously recommend Pant and Wag. Sean has been a blessing for us.

We couldn't be happier that we found Pant & Wag! It has been a lifesaver living in DC with our very active lab mix, Koa (Koa has been going on Pant & Wag adventures for over 2 years now).
Sean, the business owner, is an incredibly trustworthy, fair and dependable person and you can tell he absolutely loves our dog like his own (and she loves him).
It really shines through that the business and spending time with dogs is something he loves to do.
Koa is always tired and happy when she comes back from all her adventures. It's been really fun for us to receive the photos and description after each adventure of where they went that day - all throughout the city. She's explored more of the area hiking trails than we have.
We always joke that she is having a better life than we are! We feel so much better knowing that she is getting proper strenuous exercise at least a couple of times a week during her adventure days. It really is a great service

I've been a very satisfied customer of Pant & Wag for several years and can't say enough good things about it. Sean is professional, reliable, trustworthy, and wonderful with my dog. She loves her daily "adventures" with him and her dog pals, and I am happy to know she is well exercised, taken care of, and engaged while I'm at work.

I have used Pant & Wag for a few years to get my two little dogs extra exercise a few days per week. The owner, Sean, is great with the dogs and they really get excited when they see him. Each day they go on a different adventure and at the end of the day I get a report of where they went, what they saw, and whether the dogs did their "business." On days when they go out with Pant and Wag, they are much more relaxed and happy. Further, it's great exercise for city-bound dogs.
It's nice that they get out in nature when most of their time is spent walking on city streets. It makes me feel much better knowing they get such great treatment, especially when I have to work longer hours. I can't recommend this company enough.

This dog "outing" service is as good as it gets! I was frustrated with the "30 minute" dog walking services that seemed the only thing out there. Doggie day care was inconvenient -- I would have to drop off and pick up my pup every day. I found Pant and Wag on Yelp and was so excited about what I read. My dog Peebee loves to run, play and explore.
With Pant and Wag he got to do that and more! Sean would pick up my dog from home and match him with a small group of similar sized dogs. The outings would last up to two hours from time of pick up to drop off. Sean is so caring and bonds with the dogs as if they were his own. Peebee also loved his canine fitness group and quickly made friends with his fitness buddies.
Instead of a quick walk on the concrete, with Pant and Wag the dogs get to explore natural places like Rock Creek Park and Teddy Roosevelt Island. Plenty of fresh air, grass, trees and other creatures to keep their interest. Peebee also had days where he wore a one or two pound weight in a doggy pack pack for an extra fitness challenge. I could see his muscles developing with the exercise. But, what he liked most of all was a chance to be a dog for a couple of hours every day. I can never thank Sean enough for making Pant and Wag available to us. It's the best!

We used Sean at Pant and Wag for 2 years before moving outside of DC. Sean provided the perfect situation for our active dog, who wasn't getting much out of day care and dog walkers. Sean was an excellent communicator, providing detailed reports of the outings, with occasional pictures and videos of the sessions! We trusted him coming into our home and always knew our dog was in good, safe hands. If not for moving outside the area, we would have remained a client. I would recommend his services to anyone with a dog!

So this is just an exceptional service that my little dog loves. My vet recommended this company to me when my biscuit started gaining some weight. We are usually too busy to give him all the exercise he needs so this was perfect for us. They basically do a variety of different exercises at a bunch of different places so it is a lot more vigorous and exciting than just normal dog walkers.
I also like that Biscuit it matched with other dogs his size so we don't have to worry about him getting trampled. And then to top it off, we get a daily report and sometimes even pictures so we can see him in action. Everyone is very professional and clean-cut, which is important to me since they have unabridged access to both my home and my dog and I've never had any problems getting in contact with them, so I'd give their customer service 5 stars as well. Even though it is more expensive per month that other places, I think this is the best bet for Biscuit!

My friend referred me to this company and I am so happy she did! Emma The Wonder Dog just loves what they do... they are essentially like high-end dog walkers but instead of going around your neighborhood they go to all sorts of different and exciting (for dogs) places and instead of just walking, they do all sorts of different exercises. We even get videos and pictures so we can see what Emma The Wonder Dog is doing and how much fun she is having (two of the pics in my profile are from her adventures!)
I've found the customer service to just be exceptional... Sean is always quick to answer my calls, e-mails, and texts even during nights and weekends.
Sometimes I have a last minute schedule change due to my crazy life and they always seem to bend over backwards to accommodate me.
Yes, the wait-list is a pain, but now I see why they have it... it was well worth the wait as they take Emma The Wonder Dog to all the places I wish I could take her on a daily basis and treat her like the princess she is!

We have been working with Sean for almost a year now. His service is amazing - he picks/drops off our dog midday everyday and takes him on a long fitness adventure. Most dog walkers are just taking the dogs to the dog park where they get barely any exercise. The session with Pant & wag completely tire our dog out and he gets socialization in with the other dogs as well. He is very reliable and does an excellent job communicating with us.
