I've NEVER written a negative review before so this is a first for me. Usually, I understand that in difficult situations we can all have bad days and communication can be difficult and misunderstandings can happen. However, the treatment and insensitivity experienced by my friend we referred to this clinic was truly appalling. We've helped and supported them as they've spent thousands in the past two weeks seeking test after test for their suddenly ill dog and traveling to midnight emergency visit to emergency visit, all with no clear answers.
Blood tests, scans, stool tests, physicals, the gambit. No clear answers to be had: maybe cancer, maybe a stroke, maybe lymes, maybe a tumor, briefly a thyroid condition. Then all follow up tests inconclusive. Finally three of us in our group referred this clinic and vet Miller with hopes that finally an answer would be at hand. Instead of answers our friend scolded and shamed for not spending more money, made to feel as though they were somehow at fault for their dog's sickness (and yet a diagnosis is still unknown), and generally made to feel small.
This is a person who is now hand feeding their dog and carrying her out to the bathroom between unending tests and vet visits and yet she's just not doing enough. Again, I understand that from my own experience how tense and difficult it can be to to be the professional who has to relay bad news or say "I don't know" to someone desperate for answers, but that's what being a professional is. Shaming and victim blaming is not it.

My dog has been a patient his entire life (he is now 11). He has been on Ibuprofen for dogs for the last year and a half. Dr. Miller is refusing today refill his prescription for ibuprofen unless I pay for the costly bloodwork yet again as well as a physical exam. I explained I could afford the exam but not the bloodwork. I also explained that he is in pain and elderly. Dr. Miller did not suggest any other medication, nor did she offer any payment plan or modification to cost.
She did not return my phone calls and I have only spoken to the receptionist. Since he didn't need bloodwork for the ibuprofen when she first prescribed the medication (he had bloodwork done for another medication after already being prescribed the ibuprofen), I'm wondering why he would need it done now?

Terrible Experience ------------------------------- I found a cat, and wanted to get her check up. I googled animal clinics and found Monona Veterinary Clinic. The veterinarian told me that the cat needed Revulation Plus medicine, and they charged me $116 plus tax for Revulation Plus. When I got home, I found out that the same medicine is $68 on chewy.com I went back to the clinic, and complained about the huge price difference.
They said they had high expenses, and so they didn't except the return, or refund. So Don't Purchase Anything From Them without checking the online price. Note: I am attaching the receipt, and the online price.

My cat was not feeling well and with his symptoms he needed to be seen today. Not only did the wonderful tech (really wish I could recall her name) at the front counter work us in today, but she was very nice and understanding of our situation. The doctor has excellent bedside manners and was very reassuring that my little buddy was going to be okay. My cats are my family, and they treated him with love and respect.

Dr. Miller is a great doctor. I took my 16 year old pit bull to Monona vet since he was 8 weeks old. Dr. Miller started seeing him when he was 2 years old all the way until the day he went to the rainbow bridge. My baby went under many surgeries for tumors and Dr. Miller did a wonderful job of getting all of it out and didn't leave a noticeable scar. Dr Miller is a great teacher on how to give shots and giving fluids under the skin. I would recommend her to anyone.
