Knowing the rules and regulations about airline travel with pets can make the whole travel experience easier and more enjoyable for everyone involved. Rodenticides (mouse poisons) are highly toxic to pets-if ingested, the results could be fatal.

Services
Doctor hours are by appointment only. This allows us to better plan our day to avoid extensive wait times for you and your pet and to be respectful of your time as well. We would appreciate the courtesy of letting us know if you will be late or are not able to make your scheduled appointment time. We realize that emergencies do occur during office hours and will make room in our schedule to accommodate those needs. Please let us know if you have any special needs or will need help getting you pet in from your car.
We encourage our clients to seek out additional information about their pet's diagnosed conditions. As there is a wealth of information available on the internet, we have provided some reliable and trusted veterinary website links. Part of the Veterinary Information Network accessible by clients and is a very good reference site.
Vaccinations are an important tool in the overall protection of your puppy or kitten. As juveniles, they will go through a series of immunizations to protect them against various diseases. These will be boostered as adults to maintain an adequate level of protection. Some vaccinations are not right for all patients.
After hours, we do not have 24-hour emergency services and are not staffed overnight. However, our doctors work on a rotating call schedule to offer advice and triage on the phone, and can provide some limited urgent care services for our current clients. For medical issues with our patients that occur after business hours, call the regular clinic number at 507-345-5900 and you will be directed as to how to get in touch with the doctor on call. If you are not a current client at MVPH, please call your regular veterinarian and follow their recommendations.

Over the course of many years I've had five dogs, only one of them needed more extreme care because of a disease. But my vet, Dr. Renee, kept me updated on all aspects that I needed. This gives me great confidence and the people at Minnesota Valley Pet Hospital! I started using MVPH in 1996, and have been going there ever since.
