Services
After completing two years at Ricks College and two years at Utah State University, Dr. Hanson graduated from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been a small animal practitioner for over 30 years. He grew up on a ranch in Rigby, Idaho and has always had a desire to make animals feel better.
Vaccinations are a quick and simple way to minimize the chance of your pet contracting a contagious or fatal disease. It is important for pets under one year of age to receive a full series of boosters before they are six months old. This gives their immune system a good jump-start in fighting off disease.
Hot lasers in the medical world are used for surgical precision while cold lasers are used for healing precision. At Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital, our in-house laser produces these cold beams. The laser sends photons, or packets of light energy, deep into tissue without damaging it. This light energy then inspires production of ATP in the cell.
X-ray technology allows us to capture images of bones and internal organs. Digital x-rays provide exceptional detail and versatility. The vet has many uses for an x-ray, including: checking for suspected injuries from a trauma; evaluating a broken bone, or locating a foreign object that a patient may have swallowed.

This place is a joke. We brought our dog in thinking he broke his leg. They did an X-ray couldn't see nothing. So they did a bone marrow test to figure out the swelling. Took 2 1/2 weeks to get the test back and came back inconclusive. The vet said that can't be right let's do another one and see what that says. Well after another 2 1/2 weeks it came back inconclusive.
Next best thing was to amputate his leg to send it in and see what's going on. Well didn't amputate and decided to go get a second opinion from a different vet. This vet took a X-ray of the leg and the lungs. 20 minutes later we found out our dog has cancer and in both the leg and lungs. Now how come this place couldn't even see this. Such a joke never coming back to this place again and I recommend you shouldn't either.

I love Dr. Hansen. He is a kind and caring vet. and man. He is knowledgeable and he takes the time to evaluate your pet. Ihave gone to him with both dogs and cats. The only reason I didnot give him 5 stars is because of the wait time. I spent 15 mi utes in the lobby and about the same in the exam room. For an animal and their owner it was pretty bad.
I brought my cat in and we werein a room next to the boarding area and a dog barked for all of the wait time and my cat had pretty much had it when the Dr. saw her. They wanted to take blood and she pretty much had enough. We have to go back.

Came in today to get my dogs yearly shots which is always really stressful for my husband and I due to our dogs anxiety and him being a big dog. The techs were patient with him and the young guy Dr. I didn't catch his name was patient and nice to him and was the first Dr. to understand my dog having anxiety and giving us an option for medication which we hadn't even known was an option. I am super happy with my visit here!

Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital is the only place where i take my pets for treatment, vaccinations, teeth cleaning and surgeries. The veterinarians there treat all different types of animals even exotics. I will only board my pets here because i know and trust Dr. Hansen and he is a kind gentleman and treatments the clients and their pets with respect. Cedar Ridge staff take extra care and treatment of the animals so I don't need to worry and i am always called and updated with any condition or concern of my pet.

My experience with Cedar Ridge was significantly poor overall as a result of the service and communication I got from the Vet himself. The staff was friendly and nice. The vet (Soderquist) pushed the door open with his foot, came in and pretty much began insulting my breeder and my own intelligence in purchasing a puppy. My dog has an underbite and this was something we had discussed with our breeder and had been provided all the breeders vet notes as well.
I was looking forward to beginning a long term relationship with a wonderful vet, but I left feeling insulted, frustrated and worst of all stupid. If you reed the other bad experience reviews I can almost guarantee they are talking about Soderquist. I had a lot of personal conversations with people who had similar experiences with him.

We are full-time RV travelers. Our small dog became ill with some sort of stomach virus and home remedies did not seem to help. After 5 days of little improvement, we took her to this clinic - an hour from where we are staying.
Dr. Hanson and the staff were very warm and friendly. They were able to see our dog right away. Dr. Hanson spent quite a bit of time with her and us, reviewing her history and her issues.
He treated her gently and explained his recommendations thoroughly. She is much better today. I highly recommend this vet and will definitely come back again if we're in need of a good vet in the area.
